Need to take her in - what should I have looked at?

I bought an '04 6MT about six weeks ago, and it's been a hell of a fun ride so far. However, I noticed the Check Engine light had come on the other day and it hasn't gone off yet in 50-some miles of driving since. I don't know when it started and the car is still working fine, so I'm taking it in to a dealer this week. Nope, it's not the fuel cap, I checked that

Anyway, since I am going to take it in, I wanted to compile a list of other things for the dealer to look at. It only had 10,200 miles when I bought it, and I don't believe any service was done on it prior to my purchase. I've searched the forums for recommendations, but am open to other suggestions:

- the 'Check Engine' light issue.
- replacing my wheel lock key (mine was missing when I bought it).
- the front end suspension recall issue, if it hasn't been fixed.
- the engine cooling recall issue, if it hasn't been fixed.
- the starter motor and battery upgrades to reduce flooding issues.
- the most recent ECU update.

Does that cover everything? I'm not sure if there are any other issues common to the 8 in general or '04 6MTs in specific that I need to mention. Thanks for any input!

if you have any open campaigns, it should automatically show up on their computer system. if you don't have any problems and everything is working...don't bother having them fix it. they probably won't anyway. if it isn't broken, don't bother messing with it.

The starter/battery seems to be a automatic issue as far as dealers go. It will be hard for them to call the tech line to order the upgrade kit if you drive the car in.

(hello Lt Dan)
