need help

some of you may think this is a stupid question but i dont care i put a aem cold air intake on my car a while ago the their was a small hose that went from the intake manifold to the front of the air box and had a plug with a orange and a blue wire and i have been looking at many of you who also have a intake and none of you have it hooked up so i just un hooked it but is it still sopost to be attached and if not what did you do with the plug and wires please i need to no

that plug is use to connect to a solenoid. and that solenoid controls the vacuum line that goes from the throttle body to the VFAD flap.

if you have AEM you can leave it like that. (disconnected)

hang it onto the MAF wire. you dont want that thing to keep swinging around in your engine bay

If staying in the current configuration, why wouldn't you just yank the whole VFAD out?

i did but have no idea what it was all for sorry im pretty new to the newer cars i have owned older cars all my life but now have a real car
