NC NC Emissions inspection question!

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to have my car inspected, It was throwing a few codes, I've fixed all but one. Right now I'm looking at the P0420 code, which is due to my car having a gutted cat.

Whats weird is, the car is throwing the code not once, but twice. I've had it checked multiple times, and that is the only code showing, but I've never heard of a code displaying itself twice. Does anyone have any info they might be able to chime in with?

Also, this will be my first emissions inspection in NC, so I'm curious as to what you can have/cant have and still pass or fail.

I've heard some people say any CEL is an automatic fail, I've heard some people say you can have ONE code and still pass. Anyone in NC able to provide some details? (also I know it looks for readiness codes, so the whole clear the codes and go straight to the station won't work.) Worst case I'll just buy a new cat. Anyone have any ideas about what I mentioned? Much appreciated!
