My car just got wrecked!!
So yesterday, a big rig smashed right into my 8. My front axle is gone with much of all of my driver side damaged including my trunk and spoiler.
I am wondering if anyone had any experience with this and if the car is worth saving? I am worried after it being repaired, it wont drive the same.
Please let me know what you guys think. I appreciate it, Thanks!

What year?
What year is your car? If it is brand new, you might get it fixed. If it is an '04, start shopping. I had a Jeep drive over the front corner of my '04 last year:

and the bill came to $8000. The car, however, is rock solid still (this was its second wreck) and I ran an autocross a few weeks ago. If you find a good shop you will be happy with the repair. If a bunch of bozos work on it, you won't.

It's a lost. even for some weird reason the insurance said its "fixable", push them and claim it as a lost. and of course sue the guy who hit you and milk more money outa his insurance.
Cuz his actions could have killed you. Just complain to his insurance that you're getting "weird" neck pain and all kinds of bad dreams, then go see your doctor and tell him/her all kinds of wonderful story, then ... ahh u know what to do.

Photos located below. Please let me know what you guys think. The guy at the bodyshop told me it should be okay to fix but I have a feeling he just wants the business.
photos here
As you can see, he turned right into my lane..I only have libability insurance...so if they determine it is my fault, i will be out a entire 8. So far, I been getting positive feedback that it will probably be 100% his fault.

it should be a total loss, and DUDE it's a semi they have MEGA insurance. Get a lawyer and make them pay for a new car and all kinds of ****. Driving like that should not be allowed especially for a professional commercial driver. Write DOT and demand they pull his CDL.

Got Ink?
It's amazing that the windows are still intact. Glass is one of the higher price repairs that figures into an insurance claim being a "total loss". That being said, it is not likely that this will be the case for your car. Expect long delays from the truck drivers insurance company to even agree that it was his fault... and even longer until the car is actually fixed.
You will definitely want to consult a lawyer. You will also want a rental car to use until yours is fixed; paid for by the truck driver's insurance company, of course (though you may have to foot the initial bill and then seek reimbursement).

Did you stick around and get pictures of them getting the truck off your car? I'll bet that would have been a scene right out of "Wrecked."
Good thing that guy wasn't another couple of feet over, and that he stopped when he did.
On Joe's comment about a long delay from the truck's insurance. That could be beneficial. You'd get the damage appraised and fixed under your insurance, who would be better to work with because a) you're their customer and b) they know they'll be getting their money back. You also will not be rushed into signing a release upon payment from the truck's insurer. Downside of that scenario is that you might not get all of your deductable back.
