My 8 was out of commission for 2 days, thanks to

Burnt coils !!

I had to drive my friends TC for 2 days while my 8 was sleeping with 4 burnt coils.

Had to pay 150 for a set of 4 from a dealer. I know I could have gotten them for 100, but I didnt want to wait till next week for shipping.

damn dude.. long nail!!

also.. i know someone else will bring this up but those marks on the bottom of the coil are NOT indicative of a burnt coil.. the only way to check if a coil is truly gone is with a timing light. there is no visible test.

that said $150 isn't terrible.. i mean deducting tax maybe down to $135? so not too bad.

online cheapest you can get them is $125 shipped... and then you have to wait for them to be shipped.

150 for coils -- 98c for nail cutters unless an elongated pinky nail is the intended ..... um... yeah... i'm going to stop there...

Looks like just his pinky..

My friend grew his pinky nail out to about twice that long, he cut me with it once Was a terrible experience.

What were the indications that it was the coils that went bad?

My car lost power really bad.
And car was kinda shakey.
So I jumped on this forum, and some people said its the coils.
Changed that right away (since I gotta change them soon anyways)
Right after they were changed, car ran good as new.

And about the TC, I HATED IT. My buddy has a Megan cat-back, and its LOUD as hell, even with the silencer on.
