i have the mazdaspeed dual canister cat back, with the stock cat it sounds really good.

i just recently put on a catless midpipe and now it is way WAY to LOUD.

its all in your taste, im am trying to get as much out as i can, so i dont mind the sound, i am getting the act prolight flywheel, agency pully, and later in the year im planning to run on interceptor x and have a 50 shot of zex.

so its all what your looking for, if you dont plan on modding the car to the hilt, i would say dont play with the cat, just get a good catback. if you search for catbacks on the forum, you can get sound clips of alot of your options, so you can choose what you personaly like.

Supercat. Better gains than a catback. Sounds lovely with stock catback.

supercat? is that a hi flow cat? i went to a exhaust shop. they said they could make me a straight pipe to replace the cat...or i could get a high flow cat. im curious tho...under the 8...theres the header...then some pipe...then something that looks like a cat...then something that looks like a resignator...then more pipe...then the muffler. the two pieces in the middle...WHAT ARE THEY?!!

Take it to a muffler shop. Have them cut off the tips and weld bigger ones on.

You can get tips at any auto store even Walmart.

you aren't going to get any more noise out of changing the tips. maybe a lil change in tone as the exhaust exits but that's it.

what high flow cat was this? if it's an off brand then that's why. or it just might be cheaper. supercat has been perfected by a own rotary company and we know it works. plus, people are willing to pay it.

Or get this high flow/temp cat.

Are you in Oregon? The DEQ will fine you heavily if they find out you removed your cat.

Your warranty will also be voided.

the warranty is the only thing i'm worried about. i figured i would have to change it back to the oem cat pipe when i have to take it for service. we dont have deq is the city i live in. i'm not too worried about that.
