Missed a shift -- shifting is rough?

Hey all,

A few weeks ago I missed a shift from 3rd to 4th at about 8000 RPM and got a pretty bad grind. Ever since then, I find that the shifter is not very smooth if I shift quickly (to/from any gears) -- seems to get a little bit stuck half way through the shift.

Any thoughts? I don't want to have to pay too much for extensive "diagnostics" if it can be something simple.

Thanks!

Um... How do you miss a shift from 3 to 4? It's straight back..

Is this your first manual? Almost sounds like you are trying to shift too fast.

Took my foot off the clutch too fast...**** happens. And yea, I was shifting a bit fast -- gotta see what this car can do.. But honestly, I could care less about the past... trust me I'm sure I'll end up doing much worse to it

More important right now is: what should I be checking regarding this?
