I've done a few searches on this subject, but I wanted to get direct answers to a questions. I understand that if I install a midpipe I will get the CEL

1. That only means I will be running rich and with a new light on the dash?
2. Will it (negatively) effect performance if I run rich?
3. With having a midpipe installed, does that means i cannot go into dealerships for matanence unless if I want to void the warranty? (unless I switch to stock before going)

I have a catless midpipe and my CEL is always on. The engine makes more power and it runs well for me.

To answer your third question... I suppose it depends on your dealer. I had one on my last 8 for 20K miles and dozens of trips to different dealers for recalls, squeaking brakes, rusted rotors, etc. Never had a warranty issue. The fact it was there wasn't even addressed. Hope this helps.

i just took my rx8 catless to get oil change at ramaro mazda in ontario they said nothing they even check my cel light forme to see if it if the o2 was bad or the light was just from the cat
