Question Mazda's iPod Integration Module???

is Mazda's iPod Integration Module a stand alone meaning the only thing you need is it to listen to your iPod or do you need more than that? cus i was talking to Mazda on the phone and i heard something about needing another piece of gear which costs $150-$200 so a total of $350 for the whole unit... is that true or do i just need the iPod Integration Module? and if i need more is that Dice unit good and easy to install?

I wish I hadn't gone with the Mazda unit myself. I still haven't figured out how to make sense of the playlists and everything since it gives no readout besides some flashing numbers. I'd defintely go with something else like what he showed you.

Hold down the scroll up button (^) on the dash radio panel #2,, and scroll past EX4 at least once and then stop on EX4. It will play all your songs on your playlist. And if you push the RDM button, #4, it will shuffle your song list.
I just found this out last night.

Do you have the Mazda unit or not? If you do you should be able to see the display and what it is informing you. EX stands for EXternal.
I do not have a manual. But I am hoping to get a copy tomorrow. I will go out and take some pics so you know what I am talking about. Maybe I'll do a video.

I have an electronic version of the manual on my work computer. I'll try to load it up somewhere in the morning for everybody if it will help.
