So wassup with this?

You fellas excited? Gonna get it? This is the first time I saw mazda post.... So I want to respond. I have some things to tell Mazda ... hell ... maybe Mazda will even reply to my thread - that would be pretty darn cool to see that kind of interaction with us, as a community!!!

Mazda, if you are reading this, at least PLEASE put us in touch with someone who can have occasional technical discussions with us in our continual further, grassroots research into the rotary ... maybe we can keep the rotary alive together! So what about this skyactive Mazda 6?

I think the car is good and it coming from Mazda is an interesting rebalance in my personal equation.... this way I can get it and can be true to Mazda, but I am true to Mazda, I HAVE to stay true to the rotary!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaand its hella fuel efficient .... with two turbos ... Juuust like the rx7!!!

In all seriousness though .... Good job Mazda on the engine and the design if this performs as it should .... it should be pretty good and an awesome package - luxury car and economy in one!!!

I do remember similar hype about a different vehicle coming to the US market about 9 years back ... and first year reliability is what I am curious about.... very curious

I do not doubt that the support of your customers will be there ... but as with this other car I am talking aobut, it will appear to be available for those that pursue it(At least at some dealerships).... or 'take the extra step' to get it in some cases.... but I still cannot complete fault you on that; seeing your interests on as a Global Corporation.

So dear Mazda, if you can gain any market information from my trolltastic, yet honest post(and I think you can); Please put me down for a pr-order of the rx7 that you promised is coming....

Also does your Rotary Engine Design department need an IT guy?

PPS: I feel that if Mazda does not provide for at least one of the three things I ask for (Put us in touch with a person who knows the rotary and we can ask technical questions, rx7 preorder, or IT job at Rotary Engine Design department (I am willing to learn Japanese)) .... I, as a member of the rx8 community have an problem, and feel disrespected if Mazda uses this forum as simply a marketing tool for its upcoming products.

The new Mazda 6 looks like the product of a one night stand between a Volvo S60 and every Infiniti ever made.

It could have a twin turbo 3 rotor diesel rotary with an 8 speed manual and eleven wheel drive, and I'd still wear a bag over my head if I ever had to drive one.
