Maximum Theoretical Compression Math?

I've tried to wrap my head around the math involving the displacement and compression, as well as trying to understand the 16X and the Sky-G and Sky-D engines, so I am asking, does anyone really understands the equations describing the wankel's configuration well enough to explain what the theoretical limits are on maximum compression ration, and what are the factors impacting that calculation? I'm honest enough to admit I haven't a clue; but I want to understand and am willing to ask for help.

Can you recommend a title or two? I can do the math for calculating compression for a piston engine without trouble; but the wankel has me stumped.

and remember that the equations will solve for a flat flanked rotor until 7.5 . The bath tub is dealt with in figure 7.10

a good book to read

The Wankel rotary engine: a history
By John B. Hege

Another (no preview with this one but its apretty good resource)

The Wankel engine: design, development, applications by Jan P. Norbye

might be worth a read(old discussion from a different forum)
