I've had my RX8 2 years and I love it but I have a question. In the maintenance book, every few thousand miles has an "I" inspection for tires, fluids, etc. I'm religious with oil changes and weekly oil checks, however, my feeling is that unless it's an "R" inspection I shouldn't have to take the vehicle in and pay $$.

you are correct, make sure you keep your receipts for oil and filters and such.

and a lot of the R you can do yourself also if you are handy.
