Today I just realised how the RX8 is a fantastic car to cruise long distance! I went up north from Montreal taking the 15N highway. It's abit bumpy and has alot of uphills. I did 40/60 (city/highway). In the city I drove hard redlining on every boulevard. On the highway I put the cruise on 110kmph or 69mph. I just refilled my tank with 31.5 liters of 91 octane gas and did 265km with this amount of gas. It gives approx. 19.8mpg! What! I used to get 300km on 50 liters 80/20 (city/highway) or 14.1mpg! The ride was so comfortable that my sister even fell asleep in the passenger seat! The best thing about it was that I was driving 69mph even when it started snowing (got winter tires of course)! Wow just love this car!
