Looking for a photo of the oil cooler.

Does anyone know of a thread that contains a photo of the backside of the oil cooler (no plastic)? None of the oil cooler threads had a photo like this. There might be a thread on some other subject that just so happens to have a photo without the vented wheel well trim. I was wondering how far the oil cooler is from that trim piece.

I don't have a pic but I have had the plastic inner fender peice off before. It's only held on by a few plastic retainers. The cooler is about 3 or 4 inches behind it best I can remember.

I was thinking about putting in a 6" puller fan behind the cooler in that space and connect it to a switch. When in traffic / low speeds it might help keep things a bit cooler. The fan in the pic is only 2.5 " thick. Anyone have a opinion on doing this?

Thanks, the fan will not attach to the cooler with that bracket there and the lines. It could attach to the other side of the wheel well trim and blow out. Something to ponder.

It's good to think out of the box, but I don't think that will help the overall cooling much. Fans must be mated directly to a radiator/cooler or air will not be pulled through the cooler but around it. Even then you need a cowl around a fan to really pull air though a radiator core.

And the fan needs to be "open" enough to not represent a restriction to the normal airflow when it is not operating, or stops working. I'm not sure the example meets that criterion.
