Looking for a DIY for APV removal

Hey guys, went searching for a DIY on the Aux port valve removal, could not find one, is there one out there or is anyone planning on doing one? would love to see it as I believe my APV is failing

You have to remove the motor. Well, you don't have too but it would be a serious bitch to do it with the engine in the car.

If the valve is "failing" then you need to replace the little drive motor on the bottom outside of the lower intake manifold. I highly doubt that the worm gear that rotates the valves or that the valves themselves have a problem. I would test out the APV drive motor to make sure it's working correctly, and VERY carefully rotate the gear (it's plastic), under the APV drive motor, to make sure that the valves rotate.

If you have that much sludge built up in your motor that the APV isn't working, you may have a much more serious problem...
