It is the yaw sensor. It detects the spin/rotation of the chassis for the DSC/TCS.

Funny, that "boost sensor" looks almost exactly like the Boost control Solenoid on a WRX...
Does it really have something to do with air pressure? |
Mazda calls it a boost/baro sensor.
It monitors the intake pressure...be it negitive or positive. |

That is why it is called a barometric pressure sensor. Why Mazda corporate would call it a boost sensor is beyond me. It isn't listed as such anywhere in the published literature. |
