keyless entry receiver location?
Can anybody tell me where I can find the keyless entry receiver? My Keyless entry stopped working all of a sudden. I've replaced the battery but still no luck, and I only have one key fob.
I read in this post here where the receiver simply needed to be plugged back in so Im hoping Im so lucky. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=keyless+entry Thanks in advance. |

You dont really have to take the glove box out. but it will be easier if you do (bullshit) Its easy, takes less than 30 seconds. |
This happened to me when I first bought the car and it turned out one of the fobs was dead.

Found someone selling a new fob on ebay and he happened to live a few miles from me so I picked it up last night. Programmed it myself in about 30 seconds and it works perfectly now. Made my day! |
Where exactly is the receiver? I'm looking behind the glovebox, but I see nothing unplugged. Should I be looking below the dash, or should I open the glovebox and look behind it? Neither of my fobs work, and I can't seem to get the car to go into programming mode at all. I've opened and closed the trunk and hood several times, and yet still no luck.

(By airbag assembly, I mean the entire part of the dash that holds the airbag. It comes out easily.) |
Do you have the steps showing how to remove the glove box and the airbag assembly?
