I've been having this intermittent issue with my 2004 rx-8. Seems like an electrical sound coming from the front left side for a few months. It has episodes of hanging around for a while then I won't hear it again for about a month or longer. It's just started up again so I'm going to be taking her in to have a full check up done since my warranty will be up soon. Anyway, from the troubleshooting I've done... The sound seems to be affected by me turning the headlights on/off, AC fan on/off and also hitting bumps/manhole covers/potholes. The sound amplifies when I open or close the door and generally seems to be coming from the speaker. I have put my hand over the little tweeter and it has muffled the noise some. Anyone else had anything similar to this? I recorded 2 videos a few minutes ago so I can replay the sound. Will try to upload it to here.
