Intake temps...
Well you don't hear to much on this topic, maybe there is a reason for it?
Just out of curiosity, what should intake temps run and how does it affect the way the car runs?
This morning the temps out side was about 71-73 degrees my intake (i have mazdaspeed) was running about 77-79 degrees. Cruising at speeds of 75mph.
When i got onto main road i went WOT and temps of intake dropped down to 73 degrees.
Afternoon air temp was about 84-86 and cruising at 75 my CAI temp was about 93-94.
How does this affect how engine runs, Obviously colder is better, but you cant really get colder then what the outside air is..can you?
How high have you seen compared to the outside temp?
Should i just close the thread and forget about it..
By the way im reading this through accessport.

My intake temp at cruising on the freeway is typically 4 Celsius higher than the ambient air (as reported by ScanGauge). This with the Racing Beat intake and air duct.
