I vaguely remember a thread about putting an insulation blanket above the transmission a few years ago. I can't find it.

I hadn't thought about it, but this summer I had a Chap Stick beside the cigarette lighter and the whole Chap Stick melted. I would think that some insulation above the transmission would help because the whole center console sure gets very warm in hot weather.

Anybody done this???

 

take out the center console. pack in sheet insultation, done
