imagine this entire thing lifted above your car by one lift mount just praying for it not to plunge the 5 feet it is up in the air back down in your engine compartment tearing up god knows what

yea take the tranny off first

I pulled the last motor with the tranny attached.
Needless to say, I put the motor back in with the tranny already on the floor.
You will DEMOLISH a whole bunch of stuff trying to yank the motor out the top with the tranny attached.

Now, if you do it the way the shop manual would have you do it, it is a different story completely.
