Installed new exhaust now my check engine light is on! Help?!?!

I just installed a new cat-back exhaust last night and the kit came with a cat delete pipe. Everything is on. It looks and sounds great! Now the check engine light is on. Is there a way to reset this without taking it to the dealer? Or without putting the cat back on? If you have dealt with this before, help would greatly be appreciated.

You can buy a scan-tool that can read and reset the ECU codes, but it won't "go away" it will still be in memory and if you get a smog check it can cause trouble.

happened to me too... try disconnecting the battery for 5-10 minutes and re-connecting it. This should help.

You can reset the computer or disconnect the battery all you want but the CEL will always come back to haunt you after only a few hours driving.

You removed the cat so unless you put one back you will have the CEL for life. No funky O2 sensor adaptors will fix it for long either. I've tried both the two piece non foulers and even a custom 90° adaptor, neither fixed the CEL, in fact they caused more engine codes to appear. With just the O2 sensor connected the code is somethine like "low cat efficiency". Wit nthe funcky adaptors I also got an exhaust lean code and smelled fuel much more when driving. Gas milage went down also.

AFAIK there are no O2 sims for the RX8.

Short answer, put the stock cat back in or buy an aftermarket catted midpipe.
