Inconsistent measurement levels in oil dip stick

Hello, this evening I 've replaced the oil & oil filter. But while checking the oil dip stick, I couldn't be sure how much oil I filled because one side (the metered side) of the stick showed below minimum level while the other side showed it in full. I've repeated this measurement by wiping the stick clean several times but in all of them the result was similar. Below are 2 sample measurement results. I haven't turned on the engine because of this uncertainty. The oil is Lukoil 15W-40 100% Mineral.

Has anyone experienced such an issue? What to do to be certain of oil level inside? Thanks.

You have to run the engine to heat up, shut down, then let it sit and check it again. On dry ground of course. How much oil did you put in it?

I 've bought a 5 liter box and so I have no idea how much I put in it There's some weight of oil left in the box some 1 or 1,5 lt. So I must have put roughly 3 to 3,5 liters.

I'll fill some more oil to be on the safe side and run it just to heat up and check again.

The dipstick sits at an angle at the bottom so yes one side will be higher than the other due to surface tension.

there's at least a 1 quart range from the min mark to the max mark, why would anyone feel a need to debate this?
