Important warrenty question .

I have a 2004 RX8 with 86k miles. My engine is dead but warrenty should cover it . Do you guys know if an engine replacement could be performed by an independent shop & not the dealer ?

nope if I am correct mazda north america has to approve it now.

Warranty generally goes back to product manufacturer/representative.
Ask Mazda.
