If I Always Use 93 Octane, how come....

It is odd, but don't know why my car feels faster sometimes and slow(Heavy) other times. Those days, I barely press the gas and the car is very responsive. Other times , I have to press harder on the gas to get the same response.I only use 93 octane gasoline(Different Brands). What is also odd is that right after I do the brake resetting of the "M" flash, the car also seems more responsive for a couple of days and then returns back to the same status before the resetting.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Vinnie

Remember the 8 learns how you drive. That may be part of the answer. The other thing to consider is the tempature and humidity.

In my experience gas brand made a bigger difference than octane rating. Take note which gas you used when your car is "very responsive" and use that brand only. For me here in Southern California, Shell gas gives the best results.

i've found that same issue...usually when I've been sitting in traffic in the heat, the car isnt responsive at all. When it's cool out and the engine is freshly warm, it drives great. havent pinned it down to a given brand of gas
