idle vibration

hey, i have on 04 rx8 A/T with only around 35,000 miles on it (crazy huh? lol). anyways, i've been noticing that when it idles or is in drive, i feel a vibration. i can even see it vibrate on the steering wheel. my question is... is it the motor mounts? I know mazda has a TSB for passenger motor mounts but could it still fail even with a low mileage like mine? I took off the wheel to visually inspect it but i can't see any cracks or anything.. do you only see the damage to the mount if it's completely taken off of the car?

Does your car idle better when the car is in neutral compared to drive? If so the it is your motor mounts. Also have you replaced your igntion coils and spark plugs yet?

it doesn't vibrate like the way it does if it's in neutral. as for the coils and plugs... i have no idea when they were replaced. i bought the car used and have no receipts of the service done. if they contribute to vibrations then i should go in and have them checked out as well.

Get your VIN and call up Mazda to check what previous TSBs, etc had been done on your car.

oh yeah i might add... yesterday was a pretty warm day and i turned on the a/c **** to number 2. at a stop, it would dip below 700 rpm and i could feel a very violent vibration as if it was going to stall or something. after about a second or so, it would go back up to 1000 rpm and would repeat this until i apply some gas and go. is this normal?
