Question Hp increase?

Hello guys? I was wondering if anyone with 5000 mile on their rx8 feel any increase in hp. I met a Rotary expert at the track and he told me the computer would flip sometime after the 5000 mile mark and give us our lost hp. Is it true?

although we haven't any empirical evidence supporting one way or the other, the likliest answer is that this isn't true.

I'm at 9,600 miles and I haven't noticed any unexplained performance gains in that time.

So I think that all of the talk about the chip switching to a different fuel map at a pre-specified mileage is just a lot of wishful thinking.

This will be a non-issue once aftermarket fuel controllers have been released and the fuel maps have been corrected. Canzoomer will probably be the first to have one available so keep an eye out for that one.

Yup, I remember all the early theory’s a couple months ago. I have around 6600 miles, no difference.

5500 so far and the only improvement in HP is because of this great low 70's weather we are finally getting over here.

Much better than the 95+ air I've been forced to use so far :D
