how would you do it?
Alright, I'm gonna start this thread to see how people would modify their 8 if they had unlimited funds and fab skills. To start off with heres an idea of what i would do to mine...
#1. Turbo kit... probably mazsport and all necessary components to make 400hp.
#2. Electrically controlled adjustable coilovers, adjustable sways and endlinks... not sure which ones i would get...
#3. body...
Hybrid FRP Autospec front bumper and skirts, Vision auto dynamics gen F rear bumper, Seibon TS carbon fiber hood, and carbon fiber trunk lid, carbon creations carbon fiber fenders, Wangon style rear spoiler, mazdaspeed b-pillar, vortex generator fins, led tail lights, clear corners, and carbon fiber strakes. i would body color match most of the carbon fiber, leaving spots unpainted carbon to make a custom design... i dont think that carbon fiber doors would look good with a painted body... but they are obviously lighter and lighter is better. ahhh so many paint ideas running through my head right about now... and keeping with the light weight theme... obviously some light wheels... maybe the rp-f1's everybody is running 18x9.5
#4. A carputer that controlled everything from inputting different maps for different horsepower outputs, shock settings, and i would like to have a push button ignition and heres the sweet part... have it to where when you put in the key the little screen pops up and asks you for a password and after you put that in you can then hit the starter button and start the car.
very james bond... of course have it to where you can play your music, dvds and nav and whatever else as well...
theres obviously more... i could go on forever as im sure most of you could as well... the point is i would like to here some of your outrageous ideas, and see if there is anything out there myself or someone else could use. our rx8s dont get nearly enough coverage in the mags and on the street so putting more ideas out there even though they may be used by someone else is a good thing. It might lead to more mag spots which would possibly lead to more aftermarket support.
