How often does your A/C cycle?

Im just wondering how often your A/C cycles?

I dont know if I should have mine looked at because I can hear the clutch cycle every 20 seconds or so.

Cuz Mazda gave us an underpowered A/C system. if they dont engage it every 20 seconds or so. We might ask for a refund of our cars.

On hot days, mine cycle like every 10 seconds or less.

possible problem

an ac system that cycles often may have improper or low levels of freon...it should cycle based on the ambient temp sensor on your evaporator under the dash and according to your pressure cycling switch...this is a universal relation... not sure how the older ac system should work...

It has been reported that several members were low on freon from the factory.

How hard would this be to refill myself?

Aside from purchasing a can of R134a what else would be needed?

You can do it, but don't tell the enviromentalist. Your suppose to save the gas and get it recycled.

You don't need to recycle if you are recharging. Just adding more gas to the system, but you do need to know what PSI to charge the system to.

if you have a 04 or 05 please read and try this.

i had to go way back to get it. enjoy.. it has to be done everytime you reset the ecu. so you might print it out and put it in the glove box..

and yes it does make a difference..
