I am having problems shifting into 2nd at high rpm's and was looking into putting this into my car but I was wondering how hard do yall think it would be.... will it be messy and all?

 

If you are only having trouble shifting to 2nd, and not any other gears, the problem would not have anything to do with your clutch, or clutch hydraulic pressure. Those problems would cause difficulty in all gears.

I know this isn't the answer to your question, but it would be frustrating to get into a potentially messy repair that doesn't solve your problem. (I know that some clutch's hydraulics can be a real bear to bleed properly - don't know about the 8's though...)
