Hi,
I have a 04 w/Automatic and the light on the floor console which shows which gear its in at night has gone out. Does anyone know how to replace this bulb?

You talking abou the light on by the shifter? that looks like this - & +?

The only light that shows what gear I'm as in; 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, ect, in is on the dash with the oil gauge. But I don't know how to change it out.

 

Actually, its the Lights right on the floor console, right next to the Shifter handle.

 

If its the one by your feet that mazda sells and some people use after market ones I don't know. But if its the one on the shifter next to the handle. Remove the handle, wait, Do you have a service manuel? if not PM me.

I took your advice, opened up the sfhifter console, and found that the shifter lights were simply unplugged. It appears the last time the mech was in there, he left forgot to connect this connector. Shifter Console Lights now work.

How did you open the console, did you pry it open?
