Hollowing out a cat would definitely be considered as animal cruelty. You could get sent to prison for it. So I suggest you don't do it.

buy a straight pipe. you can sell the cat to a junkyard and make your money back, and then some probably.

You can remover the rear part of the cat to make it flow higher.

Do a search.

yeah i think mine is clogged up and i'm out of warranty. so i was going to take the cheap way out

I had no idea. But do they buy them if they are clogged? My hiflow cat is at the end of it's usefulness and am having a race pipe made, didn't know what to do with the old one.
