High Pitched Whine with AEM CAI

I'll probably get flamed for this but whatever.

I've had my AEM CAI on for a bit now and the high pitched squeel at cruising speed really pisses me off. Is there any way to fix this or is it just a con of an aftermarket intake?

make sure all the hoses and couplings are as tight as possible. try putting hose clamps on the 3 hoses next to the maf.

there's nothing high pitched about my intake.

There were only 2 hoses on my 09 AT should I put a hose clamp on the vacuum cap over the third nipple?

yea...Im with Kane...sounds like you have a vacuum leak. But just a really really small one...not enough to cause performance issues. Could even be something stupid like a pin hole in a hose.

I don't think it's the hoses, should I try clamping the tb cap and third nipple cap?

Did you cap the VFAD nipple?

Yea, I capped it and the open nipple but I just got a thicker vc for the nipple and I'm gonna throw that on and clamp it. Hopefully that'll do the trick.

I get the same sound from mine. It sounds like a fighter jet getting ready for take off... and i'm fine with that

The pitch is constant for me. It does not fluctuate at different revs.

The vacuum cap I had on the third nipple was a pos, the new one clamped down fixed the problem!
