6250 is when the tertiary intake opens. A bog there could be a slow or sticking valve. Need more info.

Could be due to the rev limit when the engine is cold.

If it's throwing a code then head down to your local auto parts store and have them read it for you (unless you have a scanner yourself). Many places like Advance Auto Parts and Autozone will do it for free. Mine did that before the recall reflash of 2006. I had been trying in vain to get better fuel mileage by shifting at low rpms and setting the cruise at a party pooper 65mph. Hated every minute of it. For my pain I got 2 extra mpg and a gummed up top end with flashing CEls

1. Get the code checked
2. Use a good cleaner like Techron, BK44, Seafoam etc
3. If it's not too late and the carbon gets cleared out, drive it like you stole it, the way the Rotary gods intended.

Its the revving limit when you barely start the vehicle. Its too cold so it wont let u rev up high as it is the same on mine when i found out. Same rpm limit just like his.
