HELP !! New RX8

Hi guys i've just got my rx8 2004, i have bought it in a sale bidding and i had to fix outside stuff and some wheel bars, now after 2 months waiting for it i finally have it, it's beautifull by the way but i know nothing about my car, or about rx8 i have beeing reading but i couldn't find how to actually know if all the car is in a good shape, i mean i can drive it, but the light of the engine check (the yellow one) is actually on, and another red light the 'engine coolant level' i have actually fill the radiator tank with coolant but the light is still on so what do i have to do ?? i want to know if the direction is functioning as it should, i mean how can i know all this stuff i need to learn, i don't care if i have to read an entire book about it, but the thing is the information is so splitted and there is so many opinnions about everything that is difficult to understand who is actually saying what it is right, so i need your advice guys thanks in advance for your help....

Get the yellow light error code read, it could be as simple as a "not tight enough" fuel cap. The radiator light is a normal fault, dont have to worry about that if you aren't losing coolant.

you might want to check the actual coolant temperature before dismissing the radiator light.

It may be a faulty sensor on the coolant. Just make sure your not losing any coolant whatsoever.
