Trying to remove the alternator (Foxy wants it painted MetalCast Purple). Removed the two bolts that typically hold in an alternator, but the thing wont budge. Having gotten a bit older, I leave the use of a pry bar as a last resort.

Am I missing something, or is the thing in there that tight?

Please help...

yeah, there's a sliding bushing that pulls tight against the pivot mount when the bolt is torqued, you have to get it to slide back a bit and loosen it's grip on the alternator housing
