Question Help :)

So I got rear ended about a week ago, nothing serious... just need a new bumper and reinforcement, the other car is paying for it all so it's whatever. However, after driving it for a while after it happened, my tranny dropped a little bit and everytime I engaged the clutch, it would rise. I figured a mount was screwed up from the accident, so I took a look underneath. Sure enough the two bolts on the large brace below the tranny were loose... threads looked bad where they normally screwed tight so I threw some lock washers on and the tranny seems back where it's supposed to be with normal movement. I normally baby my car and try to save as much gas as possible, but today when I got on it a little bit turning out onto a main road, i though my car was kicking sideways and drifting... but it wasn't. The tires still had full traction. It felt as if the car was swaying... anyone have any idea what the hell's goin on??

Look for more loose bolts. If you think this is from the accident (or maybe the body shop) go back to the shop and have them take a look.

it may be all in your head if you say you never open it up (which you should be doing, babying this car is -not- good).. do it again and see what you feel.
