Exclamation HELLP!! pLEASEE !

i have a 2004 rx8...everytime i press on the gas pedal to accelerate, my car delays in speeding up. in 1st gear it is soo slowww and it doesnt speed up unless i revv the engine real high. basically it doesnt accelerate but my RPM does go up. I have NO IDEA what is goin?

I think your clutch is slipping.

yea dood it sounds like you need a new clutch. if you have a warranty they should take care of you for free.

Sounds like your clutch is slipping bad, but you should have noticed it chatter while building up to the failure. I blew a clutch one time and it behaved just like you are describing. I could barely move through an intersection while flooring it the entire time. Car would rev, but hardly accelerate. Thing is, I knew it was going to fail because it slipped from time to time before completely dying.

^yes....is it only when the car is hot...or all the time?

test the clutch: 1st gear pull handbrake up...try to take off..does it bog down and stall does it not bog and barely try to move forward...

ill try wat u said bro....nd ill reply as soon as i do it....but like i said even when i leave an intersection its hard to accelerate....

prighello--- i have the same thing happening as wat u r describing...just the fact that there is no slipping on the clutch

if its clogged cat, replaced the cat, if it's bad clutch replace it clutch, u know, simple..
