No matter what mode, no matter how much I turn the temperature **** to the "cold" side, no matter if A/C is on or off, if air is recirculated or replenished...my heat is stuck on. Probably around the second power level, it will turn UP but not DOWN.

This isn't normal heat either. It's uncomfortable-to-hold-your-hand-against hot.

Any idea what's going on?

 

hahah sorry im laughing but my 8 must think its funny bc it does the same thing a lot. In the winter it refuses to get hot, and in the summer it cant get any hotter.

loose plug, vac line,...?

would be interested to hear the answer as well.

Although I think someone posted the fix somewhere else, but have been to lazy to find the solution, just put my windows down and air off.

 

Do you have an '04? Theres a TSB out for the climate system... my AC will be on, then switch to heat for a bit before going back to AC.

Anyway, the dealership was asking $600 for the replacement piece, which is the climate control cpu (somethiing like that), since my '04 is out of warranty. It hasn't been too bad of an issue so far, so I passed.

 

either your A/C Amplifier is not working, wiring problem. or your HVAC contro unit is broken.

MOST like its the HVAC Control ****.

Go into the dealership and tell them *dude, it blows hot when I set it to cold, blows cold when I set it to hot, sometimes just all hot, wtf is going on ?*

my HVAC control unit broke once. dealership replaced it with a *Reman* (I found out a year later when I install my in-Dash NAV ...)
