Header / Midpipe Gasket Question

so definitely have a leak between my midpipe and header. I reused the crush gasket (it look like it was in good shape). My question is, has anyone tried using a 3 bolt crush gasket like this one instead?

http://raceroots.com/index.php/produ...et-3-bolt.html

or the remflex product

http://catalog.remflex.com/FORD_Head...p/pt55-002.htm

they look kinda similar?

so i guess the question is, do they work better?

thanks guys

The only gasket thats re-usable is the Engine to Header Gasket, and of course it has to be in good shape.

All other gaskets should be replaced

Me and another local use that gasket.
It was supplied with our MazSport midpipe.
Works great and never had a problem reusing it.
I keep the OEM gaskets on my cat for when I need to swap it for e-check.

you can reuse it but be very careful---the carbon becomes fragile after being crushed
it works but i still have to retighen my collector bolts from time to time.
Damn that Ford gasket looks just like it!

just as an update, i got my old cat out and measured the bolt pattern, this gasket from remflex WILL FIT the rx8 flange

http://catalog.remflex.com/COLLECTOR...t_p/rf8046.htm

...and being cheap and throwing money away are two different things!

it should fit, if not u can easily use a drill bit to open the hole 1/16 of an inch or so!

all my suby buddies swear by these the brand too, fixed all their leaks (turbo, cat, exhaust)
