Question head light issue

Ok so here's a guestion, tonight when driving I noticed the low beams seem to be set on two different heights driver side is about 1 foot lower then the passenger side, is this normal? Sorry just got the car today so I'm new to the 8 life. Is there a way to make my low beams further away? Mine seem to only shin about 8 feet from the car. I've had hondas all my life and I know I could turn the set screw bolt to get a better shine is this doable with the 8? I'll be honesst I have not looked yet in fear I may break something. Heck it's an 05 and I'm scared to get it wet in a puddle I love this car!!!!! Any. Help thanks

Yes, the low beams are adjustable and the information is here on the forums. Sorry to say "search", but I don't feel like typing up a whole set of instructions or doing the search for you, but thought you might find it helpful to know that the topic IS covered here.

You should know that the headlight beam pattern for HID are set by DOT and yes the drivers side is lower than passenger side. That is on purpose so you don't blind oncoming drivers. If you are going to adjust your own, please respect your fellow motorists and don't blind them. Don't simply adjust until it "feels right". Use the specific instructions in the shop manual (also here in the forums), to ensure you end up with legal (and safe) headlights.

I can see the Z pattern... which is what Nubo was explaining and yes its normal.

I simple search for "Headlight Adjust" got me this:
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ght+adjustment
Half way down this thread Nubo posted pics of the shop manual detailing how to properly aim your headlights.

I like how you stopped so far back from the guy in front of you to take the pic, made me laugh for a second.
