H7 bulb converting to h7 HID, plz help

Hello guys, im new here but ive owned my rx8 for about 4 months. i have a 2005 rx8 6spd manaul. a couple weeks ago at night i hit a raccoon and it messed up my plastic piece and bumper and broke a little plastic piece off of my fog light. it was a fat raccoon lol which really pissed me off. my lights suck so i decided to order HID's for it. they are coming this week hopefully so i was wondering has anyone done this conversion and if you have plz give me the steps of doing it and explain to me where you put the ballast. im pretty sure my car is non HID, so it doesnt come with a stock ballast which means it wont fit the D2S bulbs i think. i have converted my old 99 eclipse to HID and it was really easy, but i dont know how this one will go. thanks guys i really appreciate it.

My kit came with two sticky pads for the ballasts to...well, stick on. If I remember right, I stuck them behind each headlight? ****, I don't remember.

Anyway, that sticky pad and some zipties should set you straight.

I haven't had that problem. What brand did you end up going with?

My fogs were H11s
I have 6K in mine...8K will be blue...I'm sure you know that
I ziptied the ballasts onto the oil cooler brackets
Depending on the kit you may have to bend the reflector in the fog light housing in front of the bulb to get it to go in all the way

Alright so my HID's came in yesterday night so i had to hook em up right away. it was easy not too hard, i ziptied the ballast like u guys said and everything worked perfect but there is a problem, i can see better but i still dont have distance with my lights. they definatly got brighter ofcourse but i still cant see anything. do you think i need to adjust them? it feels like they are pointing down to the ground.

Those are your low beams, therefore are supposed to point 'at the ground'

Do your highs if you want distance.

what do u mean u can't see anything? you need glasses ?

I seriously hate these ******* people installing aftermarket HID kits that aims ******* front, it effects other people who is driving. I hope those ******* run into a wall and just die.

if u aim it at the floor then ... whatever. Just don't aim straight or up, ******* hate that.

Those people you are referring to are generally people who install HID kits on headlights that utilize reflectors as opposed to projector lenses thus scattering the light.

I agree, these people should seriously consider projector lense upgrades.

However, OP should still be able to adjust the headlights while keeping the beam out of other driver's eyes.

Yes warren is actually correct cuz we have projectors and not reflectors and I do agree with u nycgps those are some annoying *** people. I was thinking it might of been cuz they are 8000k but my old lights did the same thing so it won't be possible. So I took a picture today while at the gym to show u how they look and they are not as blue as they are in the pic.
