got my car back....here's the damage...

Finally got my car back after 2 weeks at the dealership. Here's a list of what was replaced. Reference my original thread titled "my transmission woes" to find out what happened.

*edit* here's the original post for those who are lazy like me.

x1 Y601-17-731 hub, clutch
x5 Y601-17-108 steel ball
x1 Y601-17-40X shift fork
x1 QSEA-11-500 mazdaspeed flywheel :D
x4 Y601-17-264 spring, synchronizer

How much did the overhaul cost? ~$1800

For those who are curious, the stock flywheel is 20lbs. They gave me mine, so I'll post pics if anyone wants to see them.

And the service guy mentioned something about the RX7 to debut in 2006. :D

So now with the intake, midpipe, catback, and flywheel my car runs like it's on crack. The response is astonishing. Revs drop just as fast as they rise. The flywheel makes shifting a lot easier under low loads. Starting off isn't more difficult, but I do find myself having to pay more attention. Definitely worth every penny.

It's nice to have a bit of power oversteer now. :D

Hey Paradigm, that's good to hear. I just ordered SR Motorsports 9.5 lb. fly with the ACT extreme duty clutch. I also ordered Racing Beat's swaybar set, spring kit, and brake line set. I hope my experience in close to that which you mention.

So i can assume your actual 'damage cost to repair' was ~ $1,000, since the flywheel was changed at your request?

You got it. They only charged me one hour of labor for the actual installation of the flywheel, so the total cost would've been about $1100 if I hadn't gotten the flywheel.
