Gonna remove air filter, exaust and drill out thermostat

Anyone done this yet? I'm going to the track tomorrow and I was going to take the air filter out and remove the exhaust pipe between the cat and the muffler, but only for the duration of the track runs. Also if anyone here has drilled out their thermostat yet and if any cel's come on.

I used a craftsmen electric drill. You shoudn't need a dyno sheet. It's a quality drill dude. Trust me.

You could loose a lot of unsprung weight by taking your front brake rotors off and running without them... I wouldn't run like that on the street though.

Dumping gasoline under the car would be great for extra pyrotechnics running without the cat.

You may want to bring some ear plugs for when you fire it up.

I always run my car unfiltered. Filters just slow me down.

I also wrapped my radiator in thermal wrap. I was loosing too much heat through it

I say just take the rad out completely. It just blocks air flow through your under drive pulleys, anyway.

Crap! So you're saying I wasted money on my thermal wrap? What about my engine torque brace?
