So I have a 2004 RX8 6 speed, 68k miles.. and this is what is going on.. i figured a picture is worth a thousand words..

Hmmm, just got home and dropped my phone, it landed under the car, when i was down there I saw this.. Any issues, or... IDK a glowing cat scares me.. lol

^^^ Time for a new Catalytic
Get it fixed quick.

Can lead to much worse problems, like engine failure.

Your cat is bad. go get it fix at dealership, depends on your 2004's first "sale" date, it might be covered under 8 yr 80K emission warranty

if your warranty is out, then u might start looking to go either Catless (test pipe), another used cat, a new stock cat, or an aftermarket cat. Aftermarket cat is probably the cheapest
