any ideas? 2004 Rx8 Auto, 32000 miles.
After 2 hrs on hiway (120KPH) stopped. Stopped for gas and when pulling back on highway there was no power. It was like trying to start out in 3rd, but shift indicator indicated 1st. Coaxed it up to around 3500rpm and suddenly off it went . Happened again about 1 hr later at a red light. It did not flag any computer errors and Dealer had no idea. This happened acout 1 month ago and has not occured again. Any one else have this happen?

Take it to dealer. Time to get the recall done anyhow.

 

sounds like a messd up cat or a tranny issue, I never trusted automatics in my life...

 

the cat issue has nothing to do with the automatic .....

but yeah I agreed, I never trust automatic ...
