Front driverside ABS harness needs replacement

So I changed my suspesion out, in the process I apartantley did some damage, made the ABS light and stability control light go off, I tried all the little reset tricks, none of which worked, whilst my car was at mazda(yes I just used that word haha), they said it was the front abs harness, its a two foot section of wires I have seen, does anyone know where to buy this part other than from mazda??? I have tried mazmart, they never wrote me back, I called them they said theyd write me back. Its been a week, no reply. Also it seems like a easy fix given I get the part, any tricks to replacin the harness??? Thank you. ~RX

If its just the wire harness that is damaged, just cut the wires next to the harness (removing the OEM harness) and splice/crimp bullet terminals.
This way you won't have to worry about crimping the same style pins into a new OEM harness.

Or you can purchase the whole sensor assembly which should include the sensor, wire, and harness.
OnlineMazdaParts.com has them for $62.91

wow thanx man, I really suck at electrical stuff so Id prolly opt to just get the whole part, I know crimping is easy but that over time can come loose, and if there was a special olympics for soldering, Id prolly place just above last, so thank you.

Look at the left task pane on the attached pic below and follow the "path" to get to that sensor.

The abs harness is considered the speed sensor?

Jon316G 10-29-2009 05:12 AM

No.
The speed sensor is on one end of the wire and the harness is on the other.
When you purchase it, you get the whole setup so you don't have to worry about crimping new pins into a harness.
