Flywheel w/ internal counterweight?

I got one from SR Motorsports and at first I thought I recieved the wrong part... but they say it weighs more due to it has an internal counterweight.
What makes me think twice before installing it is that it seems VERY heavy... about 20lbs! Is this normal for a flywheel with internal counterweight?
I wanted one that is lighter than stock, but I donīt know the total weight of the OEM flywheel + counterweight.
Opinions?

Yes, a flywheel is very heavy. I don't know about 20 pounds, but its something like 15.. I wouldn't know though, when I replaced mine I didn't have a weight scale.

apparently is is the weight distribution that is the important factor not the over all weight

Yeah, Iīm aware of the weightdistribution and why it is important. Thing is... I havnīt seen any flywheels with internal counterweight on the market for this car.
Whatīs the benefits and disadvantages of having this?

seems their flywheel for the 8 has a seperate counterweight . the stock flywheel is about 20lbs and its counterweight is integral

Thatīs what I reacted to also. But when asking them they say that the "kit" has been modified over the years and that I recieved the correct part, although their flywheel seems to have an internal counterweight now.

I recieved the part in the middle of this picture:

I also got the other stuff in the picture since I ordered their complete kit - Part Number RE-13120EXT

So yeah the 330 ft-lbs of torque specs from the heavy duty clutch should work fine.
Accordint to ACTs description, the pedal pressure level shoudn't be too much stiffer than stock, which is good to hear.

Well, sounds like ACT is getting the thumbs up. Excellent.

ScudRunner,
The ACT Flywheel is 9.9lbs + 4.5lbs for the counterweight. (total of 14.4lbs)
Racing Beat states their Flywheel is 12lbs and uses the stock counterweight. Do you know what the weight of the stock counterweight is?

Thanks for the info everyone.

Guys, I just baught the MS lightweight flywheel and it seems pretty heavy. I am wondering if it is any lighter then the OEM that came with the car or if it's the same part. how can i check the part #'s to find out if they are different? The part # on the MS flywheel is OSEA-11-500A. I have not been able to find the OEM part #. Does any one know it?

The stock flywheel is 17.1 lbs.
The MS flywheel is 12.5lbs + a 3.6lb counterweight making it 16.1lbs. However, the mass is distributed around the center giving it a lower moment of inertia than the stock flywheel which means it will change velocity more easily.
