Flow Master 44

Just finished up on my install of a flow master 44 the sound is amazing not rasspy like most fart tubes on the market it has a deep exotic sound to it just woundering if any other 8 owners are running a flow master system. A little tricky to install but well worth the uniqe sound. I will upload a video on you tube if it draws enough intrest.

I am curious to hear. I am currently looking at a custom exhaust and that muffler is cheap. I am assuming you went with the dual outlet one?

I am geting ready to post pics looks dirty just left my buddys shop in the snow and ice you will see that I have removed the exhaust tip ports and I am using a black Alum mesh to fill the space kind of like a track look but I need the temp to hit 50's first so I can use the right epoxy.

The sound is deep and mellow almost like a well tuned 911 Untill you hit 8grand then it starts in with a strong whistle the coolest sound I have ever herd on an 8 Flow Master knows what sounds good they have been at it for a long time I dont think they ever intended to have one on a RX8 but I was raised by an old school street rodder so it was just instinct to try and fit a flow master on

The tip faces out to the back on the drivers side it not as low as it looks I went over the speed bump on my road no problems Affter the mesh is installed you will only see a small part of the tip facing down . The bumper will look soild with no exhaust holes. I couldent find a solid bumper on line the all had two tip ports on them so I am making my own out of the stock one

Oh, so the factory shroud doesn't fit? Seems like that muffler should fit the same way teh racing beat race exhaust does.

only thing done on the exhaust do plan on test pipe when the car is less of a daily driver. I dont want to rattle my head to much it sounds perfect as is. I had to make a run to the auto parts store in the middle of the install with out a muffler and it was stupied loud. They say only a few Hp gained with no cat any way I take a smooth sound over a few pony's

well it dose but I had to use di grinder to round out a slot looked good but I hate empty tip ports looks cheap to me thats why I wish I could find a solid bumper so people who like hidden exhaust had a better option

You can realy make this fit any way you want just depends on how much welding you want to do. I am a Tig welder in stainless and Alum and pre welded my bends at work to go in that direction I just like hidden exhaust

Teamrx8 made mesh to fill his empty exhaust shrouds and it looked decent once painted black.

cant find that pic to show you....maybe someone else who knows what I'm talking about can find it to show you.

The guy completely fiber glassed over the exhaust shroud area making the entire bumper one smooth piece.
