Hi all

I need to top off my coolant by about 100ml and I asked the parts guy how much a bottle of top up coolant is and he says $130!

Can I just use distilled water to top it off?

I only need to put about a 100ml in

Thats outrageous, a gallon of FL-22 is 23 bucks in the states.

 

Yep $130 for a bottle of FL22 is OZ.

hence the need to use water if possible.

FL-22 is green glycol, pre-diluted to 55/45 or 60/40 - I forget which. Unless you're planning on really seeing if it lasts 10 years like Mazda claims, just use a name brand green glycol coolant.

Cheaper if you buy undiluted coolant and add your own water. Also, from Iceman's post, cheaper if you don't live in Australia.
